The Japanese write “ninja” like this: 忍者. 忍 is composed of elements that signify a blade over a heart, and 者 means “person.” The combination suggests the dedication to toughness required of every ninja. This same never-give-up toughness lies at the very heart of the G-SHOCK identity. DW-5600NNJ: Goes underwater with a translucent blue band hot stamped in a latticework pattern evoking chain armor. Suiton no jutsu — The art of evading and infiltrating by hiding in ponds, rivers, moats and other bodies of water. A section of bamboo was typically used as a snorkel to breathe, but legend has it that ninjas would cut the tip of their sword sheath and use it to go even deeper underwater. GA-2100NNJ: Features a gray translucent band and bezel evoking the smoke of the fireball, with hot stamped latticework in the style of chain armor. Katon no jutsu — One of the tonjutsu arts by which ninjas hid from and evaded their enemies, the katon no jutsu involves using fire to distract enemy attention, conceal oneself, or create a diversion.
